EXCHANGE OF NOTES BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES AND THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA CONCERNING CONSULAR REGULATION ON TRADE
Note: The Agreement entered into force, May 30, 1969.

INDONESIAN EMBASSY
Manila, Philippines
Manila, 30 May 1969
Excellency:
I have the honor to refer to certain consular regulations on trade issued by Your Excellency's government.
In the interest of promoting further trade between Indonesia and the Philippines, I wish to invite Your Excellency's attention to the Foreign Service Circular dated 1 April 1969 issued by the Philippine Embassy in Djakarta, Indonesia, informing exporters and shippers of Indonesian products and other shipments to the Philippines that the deadline for submission of consular invoices accompanied by supporting documents should be presented to the Consular Section of the Philippine Embassy in Djakarta for certification of consular invoice not later than three (3) working days after departure of the transporting vessel which was recently amended extending the deadline to ten (10) days. This requirement in our view is not practical and workable and therefore, requests that the deadline for submission of consular invoices be extended to one (1) month.
I would appreciate it if this matter could be referred to the concerned agencies of Your Excellency's government for favorable action and consideration.
Accept, Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration.
