AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE PHILIPPINES AND THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION CONCERNING MALARIA ERADICATION PROGRAMME
WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION
MALARIA ERADICATION PROGRAMME
Agreement signed at Manila 14 November and 9 December 1968; Entered into force 9 December 1968.
Philippines—0053B
14 November 1968
Sir,
I have the honour to refer to the commitments of the Organization as laid down in the revised plan of operation for the malaria eradication programme in the Philippines, Part VII, pages 9 and 10, signed by your Government on 14 March 1967 and by WHO on 8 February 1967, which constituted an agreement covering assistance to this project until 31 December 1968.
The purpose of this letter is to put on record that, subsequent to the signing of the above-mentioned document, and upon the recommendation of the WHO Training Officer at the National Malaria Eradication Training Centre at Tala, Rizal, it has been agreed that WHO will provide an additional amount of US $2200 for the procurement of supplies and equipment for the use of the training Centre.
The conditions under which this assistance is given are the same as those laid down in the revised plan of operation, the objectives, the plan of action, and the commitments and responsibilities of the parties remaining unchanged.
I should appreciate your confirmation of the above. The signing of five copies of this letter will constitute an official agreement between the Government and the World Health Organization. Three copies of these are for use of your Government, the remaining copies should be returned to this office.
I have the honour to be,
Sir,
Your obedient Servant,
