REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11250

AN ACT INCREASING THE BED CAPACITY OF THE ADELA SERRA TY MEMORIAL MEDICAL CENTER IN TANDAG CITY, PROVINCE OF SURIGAO DEL SUR, FROM TWO HUNDRED (200) TO FIVE HUNDRED (500) BEDS, UPGRADING ITS SERVICES AND FACILITIES, AUTHORIZING THE INCREASE OF ITS MEDICAL PERSONNEL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. The authorized bed capacity of the Adela Serra Ty Memorial Medical Center (ASTMMC) in Tandag City, Province of Surigao del Sur is hereby upgraded from two hundred (200) to five hundred (500) beds.

SECTION 2. The existing service facilities and other services of the ASTMMC are hereby upgraded to conform with the bed capacity increase as provided for in Section 1 hereof.

SECTION 3. The existing medical personnel of the ASTMMC shall also be correspondingly increased. The Department of Health, in coordination with the Department of Budget and Management and the Civil Service Commission, shall determine the additional plantilla positions to be created and filled up upon prior consultation with and recommendation by the ASTMMC.

SECTION 4. The increase in bed capacity of the ASTMMC shall be implemented consistent with its hospital development plan.

SECTION 5. The Secretary of Health shall immediately include in the Department's program the implementation of this Act, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SECTION 6. If any provision or part of this Act is declared unconstitutional, the remaining parts or provisions not affected shall remain in full force and effect.

SECTION 7. All laws, decrees, orders, issuances, rules and regulations or parts thereof inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed or modified accordingly

SECTION 8. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
