[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 10777, May 03, 2016 ]

AN ACT DECLARING SEPTEMBER 1 OF EVERY YEAR A SPECIAL WORKING HOLIDAY AND NO CLASS DAY IN SCHOOLS IN THE PROVINCE OF NORTH COTABATO COMMEMORATION OF ITS FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. September 1 of every year is declared a special working holiday and no class day in schools in the Province of North Cotabato in commemoration of its founding anniversary.  When the holiday falls on a Saturday or a Sunday, the special working day shall be observed on the Monday that follows.

SEC. 2. For work performed on a special working holiday, an employee is entitled to his/her regualr wage.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
