[ Commonwealth Act No. 9, December 31, 1935 ]

AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION ONE OF ACT NUMBERED FORTY-TWO HUNDRED TWENTY-SEVEN, ENTITLED "AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND OTHER INCIDENTAL EXPENSES OF THE OFFICERS OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES AND OTHER GUESTS OF THE PHILIPPINE GOVERNMENT, INCLUDING THEIR FAMILIES, TO ATTEND THE INAUGURATION OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF THE PHILIPPINES AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR," AS AMENDED BY ACT NUMBERED FORTY-TWO HUNDRED FORTY-EIGHT, BY INCREASING TO TWO HUNDRED NINETY THOUSAND PESOS, THE SUM AUTHORIZED THEREIN, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Be it enacted by the National Assembly of the Philippines:SECTION 1. Section one of Act Numbered Forty-two hundred twenty-seven, as amended by Act Numbered Forty-two hundred forty-eight, is hereby further amended so as to read as follows:"SECTION 1. The sum of two hundred ninety thousand pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of the general fund in the Philippine Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to cover the transportation and other incidental expenses of the officers of the Government of the United States and other guests of the Philippine Government, including their families, invited to attend the inauguration of the Government of the Commonwealth of the Philippines."SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.Approved, December 31, 1935.
