AN ACT TO AMEND SECTIONS EIGHTEEN AND NINETEEN OF ARTICLE V, BOOK I OF THE REVISED ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, AS AMENDED.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:SECTION 1. Sections eighteen and nineteen of Article V, Book I, of the Revised Administrative Code, as amended by Commonwealth Acts Numbered Six hundred and two, and Six hundred and fourteen, are hereby further amended to read as follows:
"ARTICLE V.-Arms and Great Seal"SEC. 18. Arms and Great Seal of the Republic of the Philippines.-The Arms and Great Seal of the Republic of the Philippines are these:"Arms-Pale ways of two pieces, azure and gules; a chief argent studded with three golden stars equidistant from each other; in point of honor, ovoid argent over all the sun rayonnant with eight minor and lesser rays; in sinister base gules, the Lion Rampant of Spain; in dexter base azure, the American eagle displayed proper. Beneath, a scroll with the words 'Republic of the Philippines' inscribed thereon."The Great Seal shall be circular in form, with the arms as described in the last preceding paragraph, but without the scroll and inscription thereon, and surroundingthe whole a double marginal circle within which shall appear the words 'Republic of the Philippines'. For the purpose of placing the Great Seal, the colors of the Arms shall not be deemed essential."SEC. 19. Custody and use of Great Seal.-The Great Seal shall be and remain in the custody of the President of the Philippines, and shall be affixed to or placed upon all commissions signed by him, and upon such other official documents and papers of the Republic of the Philippines as may by law be provided, or as may be required by custom and usage in the discretion of the President of the Philippines."
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on July 4, 1946.Approved, July 3, 1946.
