AN ACT TO REVISE, AMEND, AND CONSOLIDATE ALL LAWS GOVERNING HORSE RACES, LIMIT THE SAME TO CERTAIN SPECIAL DATES, PROHIBIT ANY PERSON OR BODY OF PERSONS OTHER THAN THAT CONDUCTING A HORSE RACE FROM MAINTAINING OR USING A TOTALIZER OR SYSTEM OF BETTING OR GAMBLING ON SUCH RACE, PROVIDE PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION HEREOF, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4240, June 19, 1965 ]

AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A BREEDING STATION IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF LAO-ANG, PROVINCE OF SAMAR, TO BE KNOWN AS LAO-ANG BREEDING STATION, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:SECTION 1. There shall be established under the direct supervision of the Director of Animal Industry, a breeding station in the Municipality of Lao-ang, Province of Samar, to be known as Lao-ang Breeding Station.SEC. 2. The sum of fifty thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to carry out the purposes of this Act, for the fiscal year nineteen hundred and sixty-six. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for the operation and maintenance of said breeding station shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.Approved, June 19, 1965.
