AN ACT AMENDING ACT NUMBERED SEVENTY-EIGHT, ENTITLED "AN ACT DECLARING ALL PERSONS IN ARMS AGAINST THE AUTHORITY OF THE UNITED STATES IN THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS, AND ALL PERSONS AIDING OR ABETTING THEM, ON THE FIRST DAY OF APRIL, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND ONE, OR THEREAFTER, INELIGIBLE TO HOLD OFFICE," AND THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT ACT AND MUNICIPAL CODE IN SUCH SECTIONS AS RELATE THERETO.

By authority of the President of the United States, be it enacted by the United States Philippine Commission, that:SECTION 1. An Act Numbered Seventy-eight, entitled "An Act declaring all persons in arms against the authority of the United States in the Philippine Islands, and all persons aiding or abetting them, on the first day of April, nineteen hundred and one, or thereafter, ineligible to hold office," is hereby amended by striking out the word "April" in the first line of section one and inserting in lieu thereof the word "May."SEC. 2. Act Numbered Eighty-two, entitled "A general Act for the organization of municipal governments in the Philippine Islands," is hereby amended by striking out the word "April" in the first line of subsection (d), section eight, and inserting in lieu thereof the word "May."SEC. 3. Act Numbered Eighty-three, entitled "A general Act for the organization of provincial governments in the Philippine Islands," is hereby amended by striking out the word "April" in the eleventh line of section three, and inserting in lieu thereof the word "May."SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect on its passage.Enacted, March 22, 1901.
