[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5917, June 21, 1969 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING BUNAWAN AGRICULTURAL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BUNAWAN, PROVINCE OF AGUSAN, INTO A NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE TO BE KNOWN AS SOUTHERN AGUSAN NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. Bunawan Agricultural High School in the Municipality of Bunawan, Province of Agusan, is hereby converted into a national agricultural college, to be known. as the Southern Agusan National Agricultural College under the administrative supervision of the Bureau of Vocational Education effective upon availability of funds.

SEC. 2. The Director of Vocational Education, subject to the approval of the Secretary of Education, is hereby authorized to reorganize the existing Agusan Agricultural High School to implement the provisions  of the Act.

SEC. 15. The sum of one hundred thousand pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, in addition to the national allotment now being received by the Bunawan Agricultural High School, is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of said college during the school year nineteen hundred and sixty-nine and nineteen hundred and seventy, thereafter, the same amount shall be included in the annual General Appropriations  Act.

SEC. 4. This Act shall  take effect upon its approval.
