PROCLAMATION NO. 972

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 1972, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF MARINDUQUE.

WHEREAS, Wednesday, February 23, 1972, marks the 52nd charter anniversary of the Province of Marinduque;

WHEREAS, the residents of Marinduque should be afforded the opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their Province’s history with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Wednesday, February 23, 1972, as a special public holiday in the Province of Marinduque.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 16th day of February, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-two.
