MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 18

CREATING A TECHNICAL WORKING GROUP TO STUDY AND CONSOLIDATE PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9165, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE “COMPREHENSIVE DANGEROUS DRUGS ACT”

Pursuant to the Government’s campaign against illegal drugs and as directed by the President, there is hereby created a Technical Working Group (TWG) to study and consolidate all possible amendments to the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

The TWG shall be composed of a representative from the Department of Justice (DOJ) as Chairperson; and representatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), and such other agencies involved in the campaign against illegal drugs.

The TWG is hereby directed to submit its report and recommendations to the President, through the Office of the Executive Secretary, within sixty (60) days from the effectivity of this Memorandum Order.

This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
