MANILA
BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES
EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 521
BANNING THE IMPORTATION OF CERTAIN COMMODITIES
Pursuant to the authority vested in my by Section 3 of Republic Act No. 650, entitled “An Act to Regulate Imports and for Other Purposes.” And upon the recommendation for the Impart Control Commission, I, ELPIDIO QUIRINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby ban the importation of the following commodities in addition to those listed in Annexes “B” and “C” of Executive Order No. 471 dated August 24, 1951:
1. Slide fasteners.
2. Mounted zipper chains.
3. Cotton weaving yarns.
This Order shall take effect immediately.
Done in the City of Manila, this 7th day of August, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-two, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the seventh.
