ABSTRACT : The bill proposes to impose stiffer penalties for smuggling from a fine of P10,000 to P2 million and from imprisonment of 12 years to reclusion perpetua. It also establishes the Anti-Smuggling Commission that shall be armed with the power to issue subpoena duces tecum.
