ABSTRACT : The bill seeks to grant the right to remarry to a Filipino citizen whose spouse was a Filipino citizen at the time of marriage and who, thereafter, acquired a foreign citizenship at the time a divorce was obtained. The Filipino citizen who remarries under these circumstances shall not be prosecuted for bigamy. | |

Abstract
The bill seeks to grant the right to remarry to a Filipino citizen whose spouse was a Filipino citizen at the time of marriage and who, thereafter, acquired a foreign citizenship at the time a divorce was obtained.
