[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4087, June 18, 1964 ]

AN ACT APPROPRIATING FIFTY THOUSAND PESOS TO DEFRAY THE EXPENSES INCURRED IN CONNECTION WITH THE STATE FUNERAL FOR EMILIO AGUINALDO AND FOR THE ERECTION OF A MAUSOLEUM TO CONTAIN HIS REMAINS.

WHEREAS, Emilio Aguinaldo, President of the first Philippine Republic, who died on the sixth day of February, nineteen hundred and sixty-four, dedicated his life and labors to the service of his country;WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that his remains be laid to rest in a manner that will perpetuate his memory and express our people's love and respect for him; Now, therefore,Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:SECTION 1. The sum of fifty thousand pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to defray the expenses of a state funeral for Emilio Aguinaldo, President of the first Philippine Republic, and for the erection of a mausoleum to contain the remains of the great leader.SEC. 2. This Act .shall take effect upon its approval.Approved,  June  18,  1964.
