MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 3

In order to effect simplicity, greater efficiency, effective delivery of public services and a more rational utilization of manpower and material resources, the Legislative Office and the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office, which have been performing substantially similar, complementary and functionally related duties and responsibilities are hereby merged together and placed under the administrative and operational jurisdiction of the latter office, headed by the Presidential Adviser on Legislative Affairs, with the rank of Secretary and assisted by two (2) Deputies, one for each chamber of Congress, with the rank of Undersecretary.

The Executive Secretary is hereby directed to cause the proper implementation of this Memorandum Order.

This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.

Done in the City of Manila, this 3rd day of July, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and ninety-eight.
